AT LAST…WE FINALLY KNOW WHO JUSTIN’S MENTOR IS: HIS BARBER. SERIOUSLY… WHICH GENIUS ADVISOR SUGGESTED JUSTIN’S NEW LOOK?

Patrick Brown is definitely not looking for a real job. He was booted from running for the leadership of the Conservative party and is now running to be mayor of Brampton Ontario for the second time. He put all his eggs in the top Conservative party race but sadly his scandal-ridden career keeps catching up with him.

A real job? What’s that? With the scandals always trailing closely behind him, getting a job in the real world will definitely be a problem. People who actually work don’t have time for scandals and other political machinations. We’re guessing he’s banking – pardon the pun – on winning to keep his salary going.

Two or three years ago, before covid hit, we heard about a lack of air conditioners in senior homes in Quebec. While the common areas were air conditioned, the bedrooms were not. At that time, quite a few elderly people died of the intense heat. Nothing has changed.

Again we are hearing that there is a heat wave and again we are hearing that seniors are melting in their rooms. What’s the point of opening windows on the sixth floor of a building when there is no cross breeze? No point.

Why are there no air conditioners in senior homes? Because to emperor legault old people are expendable. They do not serve his purpose in any way of creating the country of quebec. They no longer have anything to offer and according to him and his party are clearly a nuisance.

If we are wrong, then where are the air conditioners? He had three years to get them put in.

While we don’t want to harp on the point, the more we think about Pascal Dery, a Sephardic Jewish woman running for emperor legault’s party, the more the word opportunist comes to mind.

The only reason for choosing to run for the CAQ is that it is going to further her personal political career. Our guess is that she will win and get a cabinet position. At some point in her illustrious career, she will deeply regret her decision to stab the English community in the back.

Dery must have been asleep when David Birnbaum brought forth his suggestion of adding to Bill 96. What happened to him? He’s not running in the next election and his reputation has been severely tarnished.

Sometimes, there is justice. Charges have been dropped against a Manhattan bodega (small grocery store) clerk who fatally stabbed a man who attacked him in his store.

In case you missed the story, Jose Alba, 61, was attacked earlier this month by 35-year-old Austin Simon while working in his bodega. During the attack, Alba grabbed a knife and stabbed Simon, who died of his injuries. Alba – the store owner and the one who was attacked – was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Austin Simon was a serious loser. He had previously served a sentence for beating and killing a police officer. Additionally, he was arrested eight times for robbery, assault, and violence during a domestic quarrel.

Alba is the father of three children who immigrated to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic more than 30 years ago and became a U.S. citizen 14 years ago. Justice served.

Colin Standish, leader of the Canadian Party of Canada has finally come forward with some candidates for the next election. Five candidates out of a possibility of 125. He said he’s going to get a few more, but with the election less than 90 days away he only has five candidates? What exactly is the point of voting for his party?

If you don’t want to vote for the liberals – who clearly don’t give a rats about you – then our suggestion is to vote for the Conservative party. While you may not know Eric Duhaime well, he is not starting a new party. As well, he definitely has more than five candidates and is poised to take some seats away from the emperor in Quebec City.

While it is very noble of Standish to start a party, as they say in life, timing is everything. And this is the wrong time to toss your vote to a party that will most likely not get even one seat in the National Assembly.

Blanche, did you notice that Justin is running all over the country doing photo ops and changing his look? There is a very close similarity with Justin and Richard Nixon. How you ask?

Well, when Nixon knew the jig was up and Watergate was taking over his presidency, he chose to run away and go to China. Change the subject. Justin is busy going to classrooms, eating ice cream, doing pancake breakfasts etc. all without his wife which is another story. Why do we keep seeing Melanie Joly with him? But we digress.

To most people it sounds like he’s campaigning. We disagree. We think he’s trying to change the page on how totally incompetent his government is and how the rest of the world is making fun of Canada including its draconian and useless covid restrictions such as ArriveCan.

From passports, to Nexus, to airports, to our dismal medical system, to his mishandling of covid when he tried to buy vaccines from China – he is incapable of running the government. His people are also incapable, starting with Chrystia Freeland.

Who will be the next liberal leader? Not sure. We do believe that it will not be anyone associated with his government as they have lost the confidence of the people. They are simply unable to govern.

Here’s a good one: That idiot Bill de Blasio dropped his bid to represent the left-leaning 10th Congressional District on Tuesday, admitting that “it’s not going work out.” Duh. He was probably the worst mayor New York City ever had.

We will remind you that He abandoned his 2020 presidential campaign after failing to clinch even 1% of support in national polls. He’s a very serious loser.

It appears that the Montreal Gazette is the only paper in the world still posting covid cases, covid hospitalizations and covid deaths. It’s enough. Is there no other news in the whole wide world??

We’ll talk…

NO SHORTAGE OF REASONS TO KEEP A PAPER BAG ON YOUR HEAD

We simply could not resist the picture for today’s blog. When they say a picture is worth a thousand words, this is the picture they were referring to.

Here’s a text we got from someone who returned from Florida this past Tuesday:  Came back yesterday from Florida , the chaos at the airport was inimaginable !! Long lines everywhere , and no one is reacting. We are like ‘´Moutons de Panurge ´´ No right to ask a question never mind getting an answer. Just line up and wait……

Now add this to that statement: Canada is bringing back mandatory random testing of travellers arriving at main airports. So you got vaccinated – three, four or five times –  and you get punished anyway. Two things here: a) who is benefitting from this testing? In other words, who is making money off this?

And b) What happens if you refuse to be tested after waiting for your luggage for three hours? Will they arrest you? Will they force you to ‘quarantine’ for two weeks? Will they take away your pizza for a week?

The only redeeming feature about this is that you have 24 hours to get tested on your own. The problem is, the only testing available right now is the rapid testing. Unless of course you want to pay $200 for a pcr test which no one will do. Personally,  we would use our  bird’s nose for the test and it will come back negative.

As Justin continues to deflect, change the subject, run away and hide, the misery of Canadians trying to travel continues with no end in sight and he just made it infinitely worse.

Josh Hawley is a republican. He’s not one of our favorite people.  Very full of himself and entitled. However, in this instance, he was 100% correct. What transpired between him and Berkley professor Khiara Bridges is epic and a perfect example of why the democratic liberal, woke culture, tree-hugging-save-the-whales-ducks and turtles are going to eventually implode.

During an exchange in a Senate hearing on abortion Hawley called her out on her repeated use of this statement “people with a capacity for pregnancy”. Hawley kept asking her if by people, she meant to refer to women. Ready for her answer:

“There are also trans-men who have the capacity for pregnancy,” adding “cis-women” and “non-binary people” do get pregnant from intimacy.

In case you don’t quite understand her response, here are the definitions of cisgender and non-binary:

Cisgender is a gender identity that aligns with the sex a doctor assigned a person at birth. That means, in case you didn’t quite get it, that when a parent or doctor called you a boy or a girl when you were born, they got it right. Duh.

Non-binary are people who decided that their gender is not male or female and use many different terms to describe themselves, with non-binary being one of the most common.

Now, back to that genius professor from Berkley Khiara Bridges and her statement that ‘people’ with a capacity for pregnancy. Can we talk?

In biology 101 we learned that men and women’s bodies are different. Men have facial hair and can grow beards. Men can use the terlit anywhere by standing and women have to sit, ergo suffer some disgusting terlits. And, get this…women are the ones who have a uterus and carry a baby. Men don’t have a uterus.

This entire exchange may want to make you take a paper bag and put it over your head.

The genius Quebec government came out with new edicts today because of the 7th wave of covid. Here ya go: try to be outside as much as possible. That includes working outside, trying to have meetings outside. Eat outside. Maybe sleep outside. Please don’t go to the loo outside.

There are no words for how jaw-droopingly stupid those who are running Quebec are. None. They had over two years to do something about our pathetic health-care system and they did nothing.

They are crying that hundreds of health-care workers are sick or on vacation. How about this: Drop your vicious bill 96 and maybe doctors will stay here instead of running away as far as they can. Then the shortage of workers will ease up. Wait Blanche. That would require intelligence…

So you know that our tree-hugging mayor Valerie Plante and her good friends like Justin are pushing for electric cars by 2030. That means that we all have to have one.  Well peeps – Tesla is asking all Texas-based customers to avoid charging their electric vehicles during certain times of the day as the Lone Star State is currently experiencing a massive heatwave that is straining its electrical power grid.

Here in la belle province we are renowned for our power failures. Sneeze the wrong way and the power goes off. Our grid ain’t exactly something to write home about.

Has anything been done to upgrade the grid so that the millions of electric cars can be charged? Our guess is no they have not.

If they don’t do something and keep pretending that fossil fuel and cow ’emissions’ are killing our world, this is the alert you will get on your electric car, as they did in Tesla’s in Texas:

“A heat wave is expected to impact the grid in Texas over the next few days. The grid operator recommends to avoid charging during peak hours between 3pm and 8pm, if possible, to help statewide efforts to manage demand.”

If that Berkley professor’s very special take on who can become pregnant was not enough for you or you took the paper bag off your head, here’s one more little ditty to digest.

At the same Senate committee hearing on abortion, Fatima Goss Graves, president of the National Women’s Law Center, was unable to define the word “woman” during the hearing. Again we say, you cannot make this stuff up.

We’ll talk…

JUSTIN’S CHILLING ON A TERRACE WHILE HIS COUNTRY EATS CAKE.

Reading different horror stories of people trying to fly and failing miserably, losing their luggage, waiting in endless security and other lines, missing flights with no one to talk to, unable to obtain a passport – this goes way way past a worker shortage. Scare Canada aka Air Canada is now the worst airline in the world. Toronto’s Pearson Airport is to be avoided at all costs.

While covid caused most of this, the attitude of the government – who controls all of the above – is beyond incompetent. Airports are federal buildings. The federal government is responsible for them. They are 100% unaccountable. If those who work for the government – including Justin – were in the private sector, they would have been fired long ago. Instead, they shrug, hide behind a computer, don’t answer their phones and keep collecting their salaries.

We can’t say if the conservatives were in power things would be different, but it can’t be worse than what we have now – a nitwit entitled spoiled brat who passes himself off as our prime minister, his witless finance minister Chrystia Freeland and meaningless transport minister Omar Alghabra. You know Blanche, all these ministers are called the Honourable so and so. They didn’t earn that title and they certainly don’t deserve to be called the honourable anyone.

We are beginning to think that Great Britain has it right. Boot out the whole lot of them with no salaries, no bonuses and no pensions.

One can only guess what is going through the mind of Pascal Dery. She has decided to not only run on emperor legault’s ticket, but she said that she completely embraces Bills 21 and 96.

When asked by Le Journal de Montréal about the controversial Bill 96 language law, Déry maintained that companies must conform. “The place of French, that is not negotiable. It is the common language of Quebec; the official language. I am here to defend that language.” Special. Never mind that the language of the rest of world in business is English. A mere detail.

She is clearly a shrewd politician because the logical place for her to run was the forever liberal-held D’Arcy McGee riding, left without a candidate when that genius David Birnbaum quit. However, the head of the liberal party Anglade has yet to choose a candidate for that riding and Dery clearly didn’t want to be associated with a party about to lose all its clothing.

Our takeaway from all of this: Dery is an opportunist and Anglade is a loser.

Heathrow Airport is a huge mess. Stay away. Given that, they actually used their brains and have told airlines to stop selling summer tickets and imposed a daily limit of 100,000 passengers departing the airport.

Clearly somebody’s home there, seeing what is happening and actually taking some action. Whereas our irrelevant transport minister, Omar Alghabra has disappeared or when he is around, is completely ineffectual.

Yesterday there was a meeting of the Canadian premiers about our dismal and on the brink of a heart-attack health care system. Where was Justin? Not there. He was in Montreal as you can see by the picture, eating on a terrace on De L’Epee in the plateau. He looks as far from a prime minister as possible. Chilled, entitled, very very cool.

He doesn’t care one iota about our health care system. Our guess is that he has already checked out and will not be running as the leader of the Liberal party in the next election.

Here’s one for the books – any book. The World Health Organization (WHO) is updating its gender mainstreaming manual to include new wording that states “sex is not limited to male or female.

Really? What else is there? If you are not a male, then you are a female. If you are not a female, then you are a male. If you are confused, there are still only two options. This is biology 101. What else is there?

Democratic cities were jumping for joy at defunding the police. Whooping, rioting, hollering, burning buildings – you name it. Well guess what? There are now consequences for such actions.

Starbucks is closing 16 coffee shops in major cities due to safety concerns. Six locations in both Seattle, Washington, and Los Angeles, California, will close their doors permanently, as well as two locations in Portland, Oregon, and one location in both Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. It is to be noted that Seattle is where Starbucks started.

Workers do not feel safe at work. Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., have witnessed surging crime over the past two years. As of last month, Los Angeles and Washington were on pace to surpass their homicide totals seen in 2021. The woke culture strikes again.

Tonight you can sleep well. The federal government says it is now prioritizing temporary travel visas for people seeking to attend the International AIDS Conference in Montreal at the end of July. This is mainly for Africans who are clearly black people.

The move comes as the head of the African Alliance health rights organization slammed Canada for bidding to host the conference and spending millions of dollars on it without making sure all attendees would be given a visa to attend.
Visa offices have now been sent lists of conference invitees and are being told to prioritize their temporary travel visa applications.

Where’s Justin? This is a perfect opportunity for yet another apology tour. “I’m so very sorry that because you are from Africa you couldn’t get a visa. We love black people” – said the prime minister who painted his face black at least three times. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up.

If you need an ambulance and don’t have pull, get to the hospital yourself. While Justin was having dinner on a terrace and the premiers were discussing the failing health care system, people were calling 911 for an ambulance to no avail.

One woman waited seven hours for an ambulance until she finally died. Yes she was 91 years old and yes urgent Sante knew that. So we are guessing that they decided that she was low priority because a) she lived long enough or b) she was going to die anyway. Infuriating.

That 24 hour outage from Rogers communications is as bush as it comes. Thelma, you know that some people still don’t have proper service?

Why was there no redundant power, always located far from the source? Does anyone really know what happens to make sure it doesn’t happen again? Who is going to pay for all the money businesses lost? Where’s Justin? Sitting on a terrace having dinner.

WE DARE ANTHONY HOUSEFATHER TO CHALLENGE JUSTIN AND TRANSPORT MINISTER OMAR ALGHABRA FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE

Patrick Brown, beleagured candidate for leadership of the Conservative party is out. As is Boris Johnson, gregarious Prime Minister of Great Britain. Having watched the BBC for a good part of the day, we are in awe of the very interesting members of parliament. Let’s just say run of the mill, stiff-upper lip Brits are there, but so are some very interesting people with hairdos to match.

Boris Johnson didn’t follow the rules. He was a conservative, but acted like a liberal. His party didn’t like that. He also had a great sense of humour and definitely had no filter. To cite but one example, in a 2007 newspaper column he described then US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as looking like a “sadistic nurse in a mental hospital”. Now that’s funny. He was also elected by the British people with a huge majority.

The issue now is that although he stepped down as leader of his party, he didn’t step down as Prime Minister and made it clear he  won’t leave until a new leader of his conservative party is elected. That could take a few months and people are not happy with this. They want him gone today, right now and have the deputy prime minister, Dominique Raab sit in his place until the leadership convention.

As more than 57 MP’s have resigned, Johnson doesn’t have a government to run. He almost has no choice but to leave. However,  he has to come to that realization himself or it appears he will be governing the country all by himself. He has lost the confidence of his party but for sure not the people.

Patrick Brown’s political career has been shrouded by scandals. While were not a fly on the wall in the back room of the old boys club aka the head office of the Conservative party, it appears that Brown was given ample opportunity to come forward with a response to the allegation that he broke the campaign rules by taking money from a corporation to pay his campaign employees. He never did.

It also turns out that the allegations did not come from Pierre Poilievre’s camp, rather they came from inside Patrick Brown’s campaign itself . We have learned that Brown has retained prominent lawyer Marie Henein to appeal the party’s decision. Henein previously defended former Ontario attorney general Michael Bryant and ex-CBC host Jian Ghomeshi. The fat lady did not sing on this story yet.

In 2019, Justin’s Liberal government promised a new consumer advocate whose mandate would include transportation-related complaints. Blanche, have you seen this person? Have you even heard a whisper that Justin or  Omar, our transport minister are doing anything to help solve the airport and passport issues plaguing the little peeps?  Nada. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nothing.

Get this. This past Tuesday, Toronto’s Pearson Airport was the only airport in the world where more than half of flight departures were delayed. Canadians are sleeping. As are the opposition parties, in particular the NDP and Jagmeet Singh, who is making very sure Justin’s government stays in power.

Their silence is not only deafening, it is infuriating. We elected a government who is not only incompetent, but actually doesn’t care what is happening with its citizens. Their new motto is:  It’s the summer. We’re on vacation. You’re on your own. Figure it out.

Hey Anthony Housefather, we read your recent newsletter and noted this: “I have been in touch with Minister Mendicino about the reopening of Nexus offices and with Minister Alghabra about airport delays.  The latter is also something happening in many countries and government only has a limited role in that issue, but we are committed to working with the airlines and airport management to improve the situation.”

I have been in touch with Mendicino about the reopening of Nexus offices (after almost 3 years!) and??? Did he answer you? Did you push him for an answer? Where are the people who used to work there?

As for Alghabra and airport delays – are you, Justin and Alaghabra ignoring the fact that yes, airport delays are happening all over the world but Canada has by far the worst delays, cancellations and lost luggage?

Anthony – it’s time to take a page out of the UK Conservative party and challenge Justin and his ministers for not doing their jobs.

Our government has failed Canadians and if you have any backbone, call the other ministers – who we are sure are also hearing from their constituents and revolt against the mother of all incompetent governments. Perhaps a new pair of fancy socks will help you get started.

If we could talk to them the ultimatum would be: Either do your jobs and become competent ministers or leave and find others who can do the job. We dare you Anthony.

Quebec’s health minister had a presser today. His big announcement was that we are in the 7th wave of covid. Well, at least he can count.

You want issues? Here they are: Getting a pcr test is impossible unless you do it privately. Which means that 98% of the population can’t afford to get one. Those rapid tests are useless as they most often don’t pick up whatever variant is swirling around. So people have covid, test negative and go to work, spreading it like wildfire. He wants them to isolate? Give them the proper tools to test themselves. Not rocket science.

The numbers in the hospitals are increasing. Did these people really enter the hospital due to covid? Or, as is most likely the case, entered the hospital for something else and then either tested positive for covid or got it in the hospital.

As for the hospitals themselves, no kidding they are overrun. There are thousands of health care workers either retired, sick, on vacation or just done with this place. Emperor legault closed emergency rooms  and hundreds of beds in different hospital wards all over the province.

We are coming very, very close to third-world countries in terms of our health care and all emperor legault and his geniuses care about is making sure your birth or death certificate is in French only. We need a revolt a la Great Britain.

We are not going to spend a lot of words on the most recent mass shooting in Highland on July 4. Given that, some things have become very transparent.

The person who committed this massacre was very clearly not normal. One only had to look at his appearance, especially the tattoos on his face to figure that out. Unfortunately, his parents didn’t see anything wrong. Which brings us to one of the main criteria of all of these killers. Dysfunctional families.

His parents were divorced and for years his mother was annoyed at having to care for him. He threatened to commit suicide a few years ago, the police were called, they seized about 60 knives and yet he was not put into a psychiatric ward. His father co-signed his Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card, which gun owners must have in Illinois. Did he not see his son was a weirdo?

In this case, as in others, the weapon is the final manifestation of what is wrong with these people. Way, way before that, comes strange, dangerous behavior that, for the most part, goes unnoticed by those living with these people. You can call it what you want – mental health issues, bad or no parenting – it all leads down the same sick path.

Travel Update: (Anthony – more ammunition for you): For four days running, Air Canada and Pearson ranked No. 1 in delays worldwide. And to make matters even worse unions warn strikes, work action and labour shortages could disrupt travel for months.

Good Shabbos
We’ll talk…

CANADA IS THE WINNER! WE’RE NUMBER ONE IN THE WORLD FOR FLIGHT DELAYS.

We heard a perfect analogy to describe what is happening with the airline industry. Imagine you ordered a pizza and paid for it. The restaurant said they would deliver it at 7:30 pm. However, the restaurant neglected to tell you that it has no cook and no one to deliver the pizza. But wait. You paid for it. They told you they were delivering it. Tough luck.

That is what is happening with the airline and airports. Airlines knew they did not have enough flight crews for the amount of tickets they were selling, and yet they sold the tickets anyway. Airports knew they did not have enough baggage handlers, security people, jet bridge crews to get you off the plane etc, etc.

This weekend, Air Canada was number one in the world – get that – in the world – for delayed or cancelled flights. How interesting that Justin, our deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland and our useless transport minister – the ‘honourable’ Omar Alghabra have lost their ability to speak.

Perhaps they have  gone back into hiding like they did with the freedom convoy in February or they are on vacation and could care less if you never get to your destination.

Yet another ‘mass’ shooting in the United States perpetrated by yet another white, disaffected, male between the ages of 18-22. This guy was clearly missing a few screws and yet he legally purchased two automatic rifles.

He clearly didn’t want to die, as he planned his escape by dressing as a woman and blending in with the crowds of people running for their lives.

What we will never fathom is that for their five minutes of ‘fame’ they can’t figure out that for the rest of their lives they will be in jail. Or not –  as even in jail there is a hierarchy and they may not live very long.

The United States has a very big and serious issue on their hands. So far this year, there have been 309 mass shootings. In New York this July 4th weekend, 21 people were shot. In Chicago, aside from the mass shooting, 57 people were shot and nine died. As we keep saying, the grass is not greener anywhere else.

Regarding the fact that getting a passport in Canada –  a first world country – is now virtually impossible,  it appears that Service Canada who now runs the passport office suspended 294 staff under the vaccine mandate. In other words, if they were not vaccinated they were not allowed to work.

Someone asked this question on Twitter: “They are working from home but were fired if they are not vaccinated?” The answer is yes.

We don’t need any more evidence that this government is being run by complete incompetents who have not the faintest hint of a clue what his happening beyond their four walls. As the very astute woman who posted this on Twitter said, “Just trying to keep track of the many layers of bs.”

What would you do to try to alleviate the passport fiasco? Try to workers to come back? Get people working at home to get back to the office? Keep the offices open for longer hours?

Justin and his government did none of the above. So what did they do? They bought 535 “armrest-free” chairs and 266 seats with armrests in a tender entitled “URGENT FOR PASSPORT OFFICES.” The notice says the chairs must be hard-surfaced, such as plastic, to “facilitate maintenance.”

The deadline for would-be suppliers to make bids is early Thursday afternoon, with delivery to two locations in the Montreal area — including a Passport Canada office — required by Friday.

On June 25, Justin announced a new Cabinet task force dedicated to improving government services. Your tax dollars at work.

It turns out, no matter how many vaccines you get, it will never be enough. According to Health minister Jean Yves Duclos – Canadians will be required to get a booster shot every nine months for the foreseeable future. Ergo, fully vaccinated is kaput.

There is no doubt at all that Justin and his geniuses  create their policies with a dart board. Zero scientific evidence. Rather, they posture these idiotic statements to justify keeping things like ArriveCan going.

Let’s say you are in La Guardia airport where there are thousands of people in the airport with no masks because they have done away with all mask mandates. Then you hear that it’s time to go to the gate for your Air Canada flight. So far so good.

As you enter the plane, the flight attendant smiles – or you think she’s smiling – because she’s wearing a mask. She tells you to put on your mask. Why? Because of course covid only knows to go on Canadian flights or to Canadian airports. So if you are flying from New York to Montreal on a United flight no mask. But fly on a Canadian airline and that mask better be on. The dart board again.

In the public service department, we read an article about how to travel in these days. One of the better tips was that if you are traveling with someone, split your clothes into the two bags. That way, if one of your bags is lost – a very good possibility – you will both have some clothing.

We’ll talk…

TRAVELING IS A BIGGER CRAP SHOOT THAN A POKER TABLE IN LAS VEGAS

If you are a traveler, then you are part of one of  the biggest lotteries going.  Will your flight be cut?  Well…first pay thousands of dollars for your tickets and then wait to see if you are one of the unlucky 150 flights a day to be cancelled. A crap shoot.

Starting with endless check-in and passport-control lineups, constant flight delays and cancellations, baggage ‘mishaps’  read: lost luggage – flying has become not a luxury, but a punishment, endured because it appears people in the travel industry could not figure out that after being cooped up for 2 years, people would actually want to move around. Doink.

How is it that the travel industry is so dense that they couldn’t figure out people would want to travel? Whatever the answer is, it’s too late to do anything about it now. And one more thing. A word of advice:  Whatever you value, take with you. It’s another big crap shoot if you will get your luggage…if your flight ever leaves.

And in case there’s not enough stupidity to go around, here’s another beauty:
The federal government announced Wednesday all existing border restrictions to enter Canada will remain in place until at least Sept. 30.

That means foreign travellers will still need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated to enter the country and unvaccinated Canadians or permanent residents will need to provide a molecular COVID-19 test taken prior to entering and quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

The government is also still requiring all travellers, regardless of citizenship, to upload their vaccine information and travel documents to the ArriveCan app. If you are reading this from another country, stay away from Canada. Find somewhere else to vacation.

Finally some good news. Unilever has sold its Ben & Jerry’s business interests in Israel.

Last year, Ben & Jerry’s announced that they would no longer sell their products in the West Bank, which it referred to as “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” That policy has been scrapped now that Unilever sold their interests to American Quality Products Ltd, which had been the Israeli licensee for Ben & Jerry’s.

Lest you think you can go back to buying Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, think again. Unilever has insisted that they have never supported the BDS movement which is nothing more than the new buzz words for anti-Semitism. This company is as slimy as they come. Feh.

If you are planning to go to San Francisco for a vacation, we suggest you bring something to cover your head. It appears that there is an over abundance of anchovies which are falling from the sky. How is that possible?

Simple. Birds dive for the little fishies, eat as much as they want, and then drop the rest from the sky. If you happen to be waiting for a bus or eating on a terrace or just taking a walk, take a plastic cover with you.

Putin is not a happy camper these days. He’s having a temper tantrum over the fact that both Finland and Sweden have been accepted into NATO after Turkey lifted its veto over their bid.

Putin is threatening the two countries, saying that beforehand, things were fine between them all. But now, as they are part of NATO, they could pose a threat to Russia and he won’t be happy with that. Putin is getting his tighty whities into a big knot. We really hope they strangle him.

In the you-won’t-believe-it-department, staunch, lifetime democrats are quietly saying that they wish Trump were in the White House instead of Biden. They cannot believe what is happening to their country under his watch. What’s even worse, the names coming up to replace him in 2024 are pretty scary: Hillary, AOC and don’t be surprised if  see Zaidy Bernie gets himself into that mix as well.

It has become painfully obvious that Kamala Harris has the brain of…an anchovy, so she’s not even being considered. What a mess…

Israel’s parliament voted Thursday to dissolve itself and send the country to the polls in November for the fifth time in less than four years.

Yair Lapid, Israel’s foreign minister and architect of the outgoing coalition government, will become the country’s caretaker prime minister just after midnight on Friday. He will be the 14th person to hold that office, taking over from Naftali Bennett, Israel’s shortest serving prime minister.

Bennett said he would be taking a hiatus from politics and would not be running in the upcoming elections. Turns out he was one of Israel’s worst prime ministers. Go know.

JUSTIN WHOOPING IT UP WITH BORIS JOHNSON, CLEARLY WITH NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD

In case you thought that Justin’s leaving all his problems behind and going to the the G7 Summit would somehow mature him, think again you lucky taxpayers who pay his salary and all his perks.

As the leaders sat down for their first meeting of the three-day summit, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson asked if their jackets should come off — or if they should even disrobe further a la bare chested Putin riding a horse a few years ago. It was said to make fun of Putin.  To tick him off even more than he is already ticked off.

“We all have to show that we’re tougher than Putin,” Johnson said, to laughter from some of his colleagues. And then, our prime minister, who has the intelligence of a 12 year-old,  added, as though  he was cheering his team at a sports match – “Bare-chested horseback riding!”

All of this going on while Russia shot a missile into a packed mall in Ukraine, turning it into a raging inferno.

Note the picture above. Nary a worry about the little plebs back home who have to lose thousands of dollars and forfeit vacations because his government cannot get their act together to have a normal passport department.

Lest you wonder if this issue has  traveled the world – clearly without a passport, it has. People who are wondering about booking events in Canada and need any kind of visa are thinking ten times about coming here.

Peeps – Justin has checked out. Just remember that in the next election.

And speaking of next elections, where is that weasel Jagmeet Singh during Passportgate? Propping up Justin’s useless, incompetent government up while collecting his salary and no doubt vacationing somewhere. You better believe if he needs a passport, he won’t be camping out in a line for 3 days in the rain.

We are not going to wade into the Roe vs Wade debacle. It is a multi-layered, multi-dimensional fiasco. We will however, comment on the reaction of Amazon employees.

Let’s start with this one: Amazon employees of “all genders” are requesting time off to mourn the end of Roe v. Wade. Seriously? Is this not the mother-of-all woke reactions? Read on.

They are also demanding that the company cease operations in pro-life states.

In a letter sent by hundreds of Amazon employees to their bosses, head office is to allow employees of all genders the space and time to grieve, express their frustrations, and protest against this assault on their rights.

In addition, they want the company to “donate and match donations to bail funds” to help “women and pregnant ‘people’ ” seeking abortions in states with protections for pre-born babies.

Women and pregnant people? Are you kidding???? Nothing more to say here except that we want a questionaire in all Amazon fulfillment centers making sure everyone is able to give the definition of a woman.

The world better be very careful what it wishes for. Many people are saying that Biden is not really the president. That he’s there in body only and others are running the show. Well, if something really happens to him, guess who’s going to be sitting in the big chair? Kamala Harris. When we say she’s one chip short of a bag, that’s an understatement.

She was recently on CNN, interviewed by Dana Bash. Here’s the question:

“You’re saying now that the President said this fall Roe is on the ballot. But what do you say to Democratic voters who argue, ‘wait a minute, we worked really hard to elect a Democratic president and vice president, Democratic led House, a Democratic led Senate? Do it now.”

Kamala’s response: “But do what now? What now? I mean, we need, we listen, what we did, we extended the Child Tax Credit for the first year.”

Bash had to spell out the question like Kamala was a first-grader: “I’m sorry, when I say do it now, act legislatively to make abortion rights legal.”

When asked about the insane gas prices and that Biden wants a gas tax holiday, Bash said it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere in Congress.

Kamala’s response: “Well, first of all, let’s just say that this is this is a very real issue. And we have to do something about it.”

Like we said, be very careful what you wish for. After that, send Barack Obama a thank you note for pushing this ridiculous woman on Americans.

Does anyone care how many years Ghislane Maxwell, erstwhile girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein is sentenced to today? Well, maybe one. Prince Andrew.

We learned today that she’s going to prison for 20 years. Let’s bet she doesn’t live past one year unless they keep her on suicide watch for the duration of her incarceration. Lest you forget, Jeffrey Epstein was on such a watch until he wasn’t and miraculously the cameras stopped working. We know where he is.

One more word about Passportgate and this one will send you running you for the ice cream to drown your frustrations:

What do you think Justin is doing about it the passport fiasco? He is creating a 13 person task force to “improve government services, with a focus on reducing wait times for Canadians. The task force, a Committee of Cabinet ministers, will review service delivery, identify gaps and areas for improvement, and make recommendations to ensure Canadians from coast to coast to coast receive the highest quality of service.”

A point of history: Issuing passports or the like has been done seamlessly – until Justin became leader – since 1862. Aside from wasting another billion dollars on a task force that will accomplish nothing, what is the point of this? No point and you still won’t get a passport.

A special edition of the January 6 committee looking into the Capitol riots were held today. More bombshell testimony.

We will not elaborate on the testimony as you can read it all over the internet. What is interesting is Trump’s response, which frankly, has been the same response to anyone who crosses him: “I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and ‘leaker’)…”

For sure he’s not going to say he knew her after she said she stopped him from going right into the heart of the January 6 riots in the Capitol Building. No love lost there. Seems there’s more to come sometime in July.

We’ll talk…

TOMORROW IS THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHAMPLAIN TOWERS COLLAPSE IN SURFSIDE…

While people stand, sit and sleep  in endless passport lines for days to obtain a passport a la Russian bread lines, Justin has gone to Rwanda to save the world. His open, arrogant disdain for Canadians is spectacularly jaw-dropping. Peeps – nobody’s home in Ottawa.

Justin checked out of his job as leader of Canada long ago. His leadership has become one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the Canadian people. His interest in being prime minister extends only to people who fawn over him, which is why he went on a ‘world tour’. He is the ultimate con-artist.

Regarding the passport issue, we thought about a temporary solution. Perhaps someone reading this can pass it along to Justin or Omar or Chrystia or…never mind. Pass it along to someone who might actually care and take action.

We heard that of the hundreds of thousands of people waiting for passports, only 15% are for renewal. That’s a load of you-know-what. Think about it for a minute. 85% of people waiting in line for passports never had a Canadian passport? Come on. We weren’t born yesterday.

Here’s a suggestion: For those who do have a passport that is expired, give them a receipt for the new one  they apply for, which will come when it comes, give them back the old one and tell the federal agencies – airports and land borders and alert other countries who may ask for our passport, to allow people to use their old passports until the new one arrives. They were already cleared for a passport. That takes the pressure off everyone. How easy is that?

And speaking about incompetency, closing emergency rooms for the summer in Quebec is beyond the pale. More than a million people in Quebec have no family doctor. The ER has become their family doctor as they truly have nowhere else to go. Now he’s closing that door as well?

To add insult to injury, he’s shutting ER’s in remote areas where the nearest doctor or hospital ER is far enough away that someone who, let’s say had a heart attack, will die en route.

It boggles the mind, it is inconceivable to a normal thinking person not to see that focusing on non-existent  language issues is the perfect deflection away from the fact that Quebec’s medical system is almost no better than that of a third world country in Africa. Especially if you live in the remote areas he considers his ‘base’.

Instead of dealing with literally life and death issues, emperor legault is stomping his little feet and won’t give you a death or birth certificate in English. He will go to any length to take the focus away from anything that will hurt him in the polls until the election.

Perhaps when his own base dies because he closed the emergency rooms in Fortierville en Mauricie-Centre-du-Québec or Abitibi-Témiscamingue, will they realize what a power-hungry dictator emperor legault really is.

A final note about the passport situation: We were listening to Evan Solomon today and gleaned this information from his interview with the head of the union of passport workers. Read it and weep:

a) While the government said they were adding 600 bureaucrats to help out at the passport offices, what they neglected to tell us was that the training time is 12 weeks. Do the math.

b) Workers in passport offices are getting seriously harassed and facing threats. People who have zero patience left because they waited days in line are taking pictures of the bureaucrats and posting them on social media, we are guessing with nasty comments. The union head said that if working conditions do not improve, plus if the government does not give them proper security, they are walking out.

c) If you are not traveling until the fall, you are advised not to go to a passport office now. In fact, if you are not traveling in the next 12 hours, stay home. How idiotic is that? Like you’re going to get your passport in 12 hours. Not.

The union leader said that things are going to get worse before they get better. Doesn’t our simple solution sound better and better?

Today, the Supreme Court struck down New York’s century-old law restricting the carrying of concealed firearms, its first major Second Amendment decision in more than a decade.

Judge Clarence Thomas said that the law’s requirement of New Yorkers who want a permit to carry a handgun in public to show “proper cause” that the weapon is specifically needed for self-defense “violates the Fourteenth Amendment by preventing law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their right to keep and bear arms in public.

To call a spade a spade, many people attending services in synagogues on Shabbat and holidays carry guns. Not openly, but they are within quick reach. Now it appears they can carry said gun openly.

While we are still completely against anyone owning an AR semi-automatic rifle, we see no problem with people carrying guns in a houses of worship. In Quebec it is illegal for a security guard (or anyone except police) to carry a gun. Which means if G-d forbid there was an attack on a synagogue, instead of being able to protect worshippers, the security guard would be the first one shot.

Of all the airports in and around New York – La Guardia, JFK and Newark, the latter is the worst. We’re giving you a heads-up – United Airlines will cut about 50 daily flights from Newark next month in an effort to reduce delays.

The cuts amount to about 12% of United’s schedule at its New Jersey hub and apply solely to domestic flights, starting July 1. Delta, JetBlue, Spirit, Southwest and Alaska Airlines are among the carriers that have also trimmed their schedules this year.  Forewarned is forearmed.

Putin must be pretty ticked off today. The European Union has approved the application of Ukraine to become a candidate country for admission to the 27-strong bloc. One of the reasons Putin invaded Ukraine was because he didn’t want them to be part of the EU. Well, that was a fail.

Make no mistake. The war rages on and will do so until Putin either drops or quits. It is very clear that if Ukraine won’t submit to him, he will try to destroy every square inch of the country.

Tomorrow, June 24 is the first anniversary of the tragic collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside Florida. 98 souls perished.

Attorneys Rachel Furst and Harley Tropin were the co-chairs of the team of plaintiffs’ attorneys that reached a $1.02 billion settlement in the class-action lawsuit after the Surfside building collapse.

For their work to secure the settlement, they are among the more than 130 attorneys who worked more than 34,000 hours and requested about $100 million in fees and costs.

We will remind you that the building collapsed on June 24 and the last of the 98 bodies was recovered on July 20, 17 days after the collapse. May they all Rest In Peace.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL JUSTIN WHEN YOU’RE RIDING A DEAD HORSE – DISMOUNT.

When you’re riding a dead horse, dismount. Doesn’t that describe Justin to a tee? He’s so busy with himself that he doesn’t even know he’s on a dead horse.

ArrivCan – Justin’s dead horse – has zero do to with covid and everything to do with keeping track of Canadians and anyone who enters the country. Lest you think we are part of the conspiracy theory peeps, we are not, far from it. But we do believe that there is no medical reason to keep ArrivCan going. None. It’s a dead horse.

Lest you think we are kidding about Justin being dense, think again. He’s busy banning straws and plastic forks while fist fights are breaking out at Passport offices because people have to sleep outside the office overnight in the hope they will get into said office. Even after that, there is no guarantee that they will get their passport in time for their trip.

People adhered to covid restrictions for over two years. Now, when they can finally get away they are still trapped here because Justin and his cohorts are completely unable to run the government. Literally. If they worked for a private company they would be fired. Their arrogance and disdain for people who pay their salaries – the taxpayer – is disgusting. Take note: The Nexus offices in Canada are still not open.

Is it us, or does Colin Standish of the new Canadian Party of Quebec look like he just sucked a lemon? Seriously? And the cut-line for his party? Rights are rights are rights? Nobody could come up with something a bit more original?

Clearly not everyone has charisma, but this dude looks like he needed an enema five days ago. With that punim – face  he will be attracting  like-minded cranky people.

Again you can thank Dominique Anglade, head of the liberal party for this dude and all the other geniuses who are going to split the vote. Zero leadership and fools in her party like Birnbaum have made her and her party total losers. And again we say, vote for the Conservative party led by Eric Duhaime. At the very least he can smile.

Lest you think Toronto Pearson Airport is the only one with massive delays and cancellations, think again. It’s everywhere, all over the world.

This past US long weekend, dubbed The ‘Armageddon travel weekend’ saw more than 20,000 flights canceled or delayed and this is expected to continue throughout the week. We seem to have entered the perfect travel storm – boom time for travel and serious limitations on staffing.

Another huge issue as a result of all the cancelled and delayed flights is lost luggage and under-staffing of baggage handlers. At some airports these handlers are not using the conveyer belts. They are simply throwing the bags out on the floor in huge piles. Pack lightly and take nothing you don’t care if you lose.

Seems that both Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris cannot hold on to their staff. They are leaving as fast as they can find the door. One of the reasons appears to be staffers are worried about a bloodbath at the primary elections in November due to sky-high inflation, high gas prices and the war in Ukraine. While the latter is not of Biden’s doing, it doesn’t help his cause.

In Harris’s case, the word bullying has been heard more than once. Seems she runs a dysfunctional office, which is usually the case for the bullying – trying to push the blame onto others. Well, the ‘others’ are leaving and no longer tolerating her behavior. Not pretty.

So the United States instituted another long weekend – Juneteenth. What is that? Literally – June 19th.

It marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in on June 19, 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. The troops’ arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday.

Our question is this: Why is it a paid federal holiday? It is certainly a milestone in the lives of black people but why did it become a national holiday? Holocaust Memorial Day is very important in the lives of Jews but we mark the day on our own and move on. What about native Americans whose land was unceremoniously taken from them? Where’s their paid federal holiday?

Treading on very thin ice, we will only say that in the woke world we live in, it’s a lot safer to just quietly say ok to Juneteenth being a paid federal holiday than making a federal case out of it, if you get the drift.

Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens released a campaign video on Monday showing himself with a shotgun while he talked about hunting for RINOs, an acronym for “Republicans in name only.” It then showed Greitens with a group of people in tactical gear breaking down the door of a house, throwing a smoke bomb and entering the room.

Greitens clearly has issues. He had to resign as Governor of Missouri in June 2018 amid allegations of sexual assault and campaign finance impropriety. This gun video is not going to help his situation and frankly, the Republican Party should come out publicly and excommunicate him their party.

Montreal is trying very hard to build a rapid train system called the REM. It was supposed to be ready in stages: the first part the fall of 2022, the central section in the fall of 2023,  the west in the spring of 2024 and the airport section in late 2024. As of now, nothing will be remotely ready until 2024 and that’s only one part. This is going to go on, it appears, for at least a decade.

As well, the most recent estimate of $6.9 billion to build this train system is a ball-park figure.

We are living in Quebec where nothing gets done without graft, bribes, pretend and real issues. In this case they are able to hang a lot of their incompetence on covid and all that goes with it. Then there were unforeseen circumstances when building the Mount Royal tunnel. Never mind the train that was supposed to be elevated and construction on that part was stopped because it was going to be ugly. You can imagine how much that little ditty cost us.

Our question is where are the engineers? Where are the planners? Who is in charge? We know where Mayor Drapeau is, so he can’t be held responsible for this mess which you are paying for. Let’s just say the olympic stadium cost $1 billion in 1967. In today’s money, that would be $8 billion. This fast train? If it costs a cent less than $15 billion we’ll eat our hats.

We’ll talk…

JUSTIN KEEPING HIMSELF SAFE.

There is a parliamentary committee examining the use of the emergency act during the time the truckers were in Ottawa in February and March. If you recall, Justin and his cabinet were hiding away, cowering in fear that said truckers were going to overthrow the government. Really? Can we talk?

Aside from  one or two yahoos, the rest of the truckers were  regular joes taking part in what was called the Freedom convoy. In fact, they were representing millions of Canadians as all along their route – on every overpass – there were people cheering them on.

Emergency Preparedness minister Bill Blair said the police told him they needed more tools to end the occupation. What they wanted was more policemen. Not the emergency act.

Public Safety minister Marco Mendicino said that the police suggested many times they wanted the act invoked. The police are saying they never said that. It appears that Mendicino is going to be the fall guy for this.

As we heard Justin is buzzing out of Ottawa on some manufactured world tour at the end of the month so our guess is that he will dissolve parliament for the summer before this parliamentary committee is done with its work. As always, he’s  hoping that everyone will forget what an incompetent government he has, starting with him.

Now would you look at that. Anthony Fauci – four times vaccinated, 100% mask wearing (at least when he knows pictures are being taken), Mr. Keep the US Safe – tested positive for covid. We wish him a complete and speedy recovery.

This is a good one. Texas and Arizona have had it with Washington ignoring the illegal immigrants entering their states. So what did they do?

Between Texas and Arizona, they sent buses carrying more than 2,500 migrants to Washington since mid-April.

As both states said…This is a problem caused by Washington. We’re bringing it to Washington, and we expect Washington to foot the bill. They are giving Biden the privilege to address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across the border. Perfect.

Oh yes. Nobody is vaccinated. That’s how you get into the US without a vaccine. Take note.

In the timing-is-everything-department, our new Governor General, Mary Simon, who seemed to be a somewhat normal person when she was sworn in, spent nearly $100,000 on a catering bill during flights to and from the Middle East from March 16 to 24.

Simon and her 29 ‘guests’, who travelled to London, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and back, spent $93,117.89 on board the government’s CC-150 Polaris aircraft. Blanche, that would be a private plane.

The cost of fuel for the trip came in at $248,127.02. Wait. It gets better. Justin, his sidekick Chrystia Freeland and his 58 ‘guests’ amassed $57,401.56 in catering costs while traveling to London, Riga, Berlin, Warsaw, and back between March 5 and March 11. Their fuel bill was $195,265.47. Nothing like leaving a carbon footprint the size of big-foot.

There is no doubt that  in Justin’s little brain there is a  a great divide between who he deems as his friends and the little peeps. He and they are  entitled, the rest of us are not. He is important, we are not. His creature comforts count. Ours don’t.

As for Simon, while she may have started out with good intentions, look how quickly she figured out the system. And what is that system? Spending OPM – other people’s money. Again…your tax dollars at work.

Like him or not, Trump set up his Vice President Pence. He basically threw him to the dogs by inciting an already incited crowd, saying he refused to stop the transfer of power on January 6.

No matter how hard Trump tried, Pence refused to do what he asked of him. So on January 6, with thousands of people chomping at the bit to get the capitol building, and knowing Pence was inside that building, Trump said Pence would not listen to him. It was time to take matters into their own hands.

Sorry to say that is insanity. There is no doubt whatsoever that if the crowd had gotten hold of Pence, they would have killed him. Again…we are ready for Ron DeSantis to run for president.

Can someone please send a memo to the Montreal Gazette to stop publishing covid deaths? It’s enough. Unless of course there’s no other news. And one more thing.

Having the federal government threaten us with lockdowns and more curfews in the fall if covid comes back is disgusting. If and when there’s another uprising, we’ll deal with it then. What’s the point of frightening already frightened people? None.
